Some marks were forced on people. Some were chosen in a life left behind.
Those marks can follow a person into job interviews and into the mirror every morning. Removal can take many sessions over a year or more, and the cost adds up. We want to carry that cost, and stay with you until you finish.
Who we plan to serve first
- Trafficking survivors
- Former gang members, referred by a partner organization
- People with hate or offensive tattoos
We will start with tattoos on the face, neck and hands, and with adults only. We plan to open to the general public after that.
How it will work
You won't have to explain your story to get an appointment.
-
Reach out
Once we open, you'll be able to contact us yourself or come through a partner organization.
-
First visit
A private conversation about what you want gone, then a medical screening and a test spot.
-
Your plan
An honest number of sessions, a timeline and the likely result. Some tattoos may only fade, and we'll tell you if yours might.
-
Treatment
We plan to provide laser removal under a supervising physician, in a calm room, with a coordinator checking in between visits.
-
Your last session
We'll mark the moment in a small way, if you want to.
What we plan to offer
It's free
When we open, removal will be free for everyone.
No conditions
Prayer will be offered, never required. You won't have to attend church, hear a message or share a story.
Your privacy
Your photos and your story will be used only with your written consent, and you'll be able to take that consent back.
Getting here
We know Clarkston can be hard to reach without a car, and we're working on a plan for rides.
Care for survivors
We plan to offer a choice of a female provider, an advocate in the room if you want one, and quiet hours or a private entrance.
We'll stay with you
A coordinator will book your next visit before you leave and call if you miss one.
What we believe
We are an openly Christian ministry, and we want to be plain about that.
We believe the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), that people should not be tattooed, and that removal can bring true freedom.
Prayer will always be offered and never required, and treatment will never depend on it.
Nobody has to agree with us to walk in.
How to help
We are still in planning, and we are not asking for money or accepting donations. Right now we need people.
Doctors and nurses
Could you give a day a week, or know someone who could?
Pastors and churches
We would value your counsel, and your prayer.
Partner organizations
Do the people you serve want tattoos removed? We'd like to learn from you.
